Thomas Peter is a sound artist based in Zurich who works in the fields of composition, improvisation, and transdisciplinary performances. He works with field recordings, sound objects, analog and digital sound synthesis. In his artistic practice, he explores the interplay between technology, field recordings, objects, and his human subjectivity. Through precise nuances and careful sound transformations, he creates musical textures that oscillate between abstract and familiar sound structures.

In addition to his solo projects and various improvisational formations, he is part of the Geneva-based Insub Meta Orchestra and is currently collaborating with dancer Eleni Mylona on transdisciplinary projects. His music is released on the Hallow Ground and Domizil labels.
